The Department of Data Science and Analytics is a new department established by renaming the Statistics Department, which was founded in 2005 and has 20 years of academic experience, following a decision made by the Y.Ö.K. General Assembly on May 27, 2025. The first department chair of the Data Science and Analytics Department was Prof. Dr. Erol EĞRİOĞLU, and the department is currently led by help of Prof. Dr. Eren BAŞ and Dr. Hasan Hüseyin GÜL.
